For the past couple years, my family has camped the last weekend of the summer out in beautiful Elkwater, AB, part of the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. While mountain biking on one of the many great trails, I spotted an area I thought would be perfect for family photos. This session was my first time shooting here and, boy oh boy, did this location deliver! The light, the lake, the trees, the colours! What more could you ask for.
This beautiful blended family of nine were amazing to work with. I usually shoot families with really young kids so a lot of my time is spent running after tiny firecrackers who move, move, move. But these beautiful people listened and stood still for me! What a treat.
There was so much love in this group. Mom, daughter and step daughter even have matching tattoos. Dad has four girls and Mom has two girls and a boy and to see these kids loving on each other was really special.
